Jeffrey S. Sloan

Chief Executive Officer

Jeffrey S. Sloan is the Chief Executive Officer and a member of the Board of Directors of Global Payments Inc. (NYSE:GPN), one of the largest worldwide providers of payment technology and software solutions. He is a decisive leader with deep industry knowledge and 25 years of experience in financial technology. Mr. Sloan joined Global Payments as President in 2010 and became Chief Executive Officer in 2013.

Prior to joining Global Payments, Mr. Sloan was a partner and the worldwide head of the Financial Technology Group in New York for Goldman, Sachs & Co. He pioneered the development of the payments practice in investment banking, where he led many of the industry’s landmark transactions over two decades.

He earned dual BA and BS degrees from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania in 1989 (summa cum laude) and a JD from New York University School of Law in 1992 (magna cum laude). Mr. Sloan and his wife, Victoria, have three children and live in Atlanta, Georgia. 

Mr. Sloan serves on the Executive Committees and the Boards of Directors of Fleetcor Technologies, Inc. and the Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce.  He also serves on the Undergraduate Executive Board of The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. In 2017 and 2018, Mr. Sloan was the President and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Electronic Transactions Association.

Cameron M. Bready

Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer

Cameron M. Bready is the Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Global Payments Inc. (NYSE:GPN), a leading worldwide provider of payment technology services. In this role, he is responsible for all of the company's global financial operations, including finance, treasury, accounting, tax, investor relations, internal audit and corporate development. Mr. Bready is also responsible for worldwide operations, global real estate and corporate affairs.

Prior to joining Global Payments in 2014, Mr. Bready served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for ITC Holdings Corp., a publicly-traded electric transmission utility, where he was responsible for the company's accounting, finance, treasury and other related financial functions, as well as its corporate development initiatives. Mr. Bready joined ITC Holdings in April 2009 as Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer after serving as Vice President of Finance at Northeast Utilities, where he was responsible for all financial policy matters and financial planning and analysis, including the financial assessment and structuring of the company's transmission and distribution infrastructure investments.

Mr. Bready has been recognized by Institutional Investor as one of "America's Best CFOs", by Crain's Detroit Business as "CFO of the Year" and by the Atlanta Business Chronicle as “CFO of the Year” in the large public company category. He earned a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Oglethorpe University in Atlanta and is a Certified Public Accountant. He serves on the Board of Trustees of Oglethorpe University and is a member of its Executive Committee.

Dr. Guido F. Sacchi

Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer

Dr. Guido F. Sacchi is a recognized leader in Information Technology and delivery of business value from IT, with a unique combination of strategic thinking and focus on results. He is currently EVP and CIO of Global Payments Inc. (NYSE: GPN), a leading worldwide provider of payment technology and software solutions.  His responsibilities include IT and digital business strategies, worldwide technology infrastructure and operations management, application development and support, information security, customer experience, project portfolio management, platform integration, analytics and artificial intelligence.

Prior to joining Global Payments, Dr. Sacchi was a Managing Director for Slalom Consulting, leading the firm's Digital Commerce practice.  Between 2008 and 2010, he served as CEO of Moneta, an innovative online payments company, establishing it as a leader in the alternative payment space.  He led the company in building its customer base, revenue streams, service offerings and technology platform.  From 2002 to 2008, Dr. Sacchi was the CIO of CompuCredit, an information and technology driven financial services company, where his responsibilities included setting and executing the company’s IT strategies, delivering business value from technology, managing innovation and running the company’s worldwide IT operations. He enabled the business to deliver unprecedented results through the execution of acquisitions, technology architectures and IT solutions.

Dr. Sacchi’s experience includes senior management positions at Deloitte Consulting and PricewaterhouseCoopers, international experience across industries, degrees in engineering from the University of Rome (Italy) and appointments at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

He is a frequent speaker and magazine contributor on the topics of technology management, payments and financial technologies, leadership, innovation and organizational change. Dr. Sacchi is the previous Chairman of the Georgia CIO Leadership Association and served on the Technology Association of Georgia's Education Collaborative (TAG-Ed) Board of Directors. He was recognized as one of Computerworld’s Premier 100 IT Leaders in 2008 and as the 2004 GCLA National CIO of the Year, in addition to receiving multiple awards for excellence in technology management. Dr. Sacchi is a graduate of Leadership Atlanta’s Class of 2008. 

He and his wife, Ellen, enjoy living in Atlanta with their two children.

David L. Green

Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary

David Green serves as Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary of Global Payments Inc. (NYSE:GPN), one of the largest worldwide providers of payment technology services. 

Mr. Green is responsible for all of the company’s legal matters worldwide, as well as regulatory compliance, data privacy and enterprise risk management.  Since joining in 2003, Mr. Green has provided legal support across the company’s corporate landscape. He most recently served as Senior Vice President and Division General Counsel, with primary responsibility for worldwide mergers and acquisitions as well as the company’s operations in the Americas.

Prior to joining Global Payments, Mr. Green was an attorney at the law firm of King & Spalding LLP.  He holds a B.A. in Political Science from Duke University and earned his J.D. from the Emory University School of Law. 

Mr. Green serves on the Government Relations Committee of the Electronic Transactions Association (ETA) and formerly served on the Board of Directors of the Foundation for Mitochondrial Medicine. He resides in Atlanta, Georgia with his wife and two daughters.

Karen Matterson

Senior Vice President, Chief People Officer

Karen Matterson is Senior Vice President and Chief People Officer for Global Payments Inc., one of the largest worldwide providers of payment technology solutions. In this role, she oversees human resources and is responsible for ensuring delivery of key strategic, high visibility initiatives. She is an innovative, inspirational Human Resources executive and a visionary leader who balances the interests of employees, customers, and the organization. Her more than 25 years of success in Human Resources includes expertise and achievements in employee relations, talent acquisition and management, organizational design, international management, business transformation, and M&A integration.

Karen joined the company in July 2008 as Director, Human Resources, and continued to take on more challenging roles with increased responsibility. Most recently she served as Senior Vice President, Human Resources – Americas, supporting Global Payments’ President and Chief Operating Officer. After continued success, Karen was promoted to her current position in 2018.

Prior to joining Global Payments, Karen served in senior HR leadership roles in multiple industries and organizations including Georgia Federal Bank, The Coca-Cola Company, Blockbusters and John H. Harland Company.

Karen holds a B.B.A. in Human Resources from Georgia State University. She is a board member for Forelife, Inc., an organization whose mission is to empower vulnerable youths to help them survive, succeed and realize their full potential. Karen is a patron of the performing arts, and enjoys spending time with her family – her husband, their three children, and granddaughter.

Joshua J. Whipple

Executive Vice President, Corporate Development and Strategic Planning

Joshua J. Whipple serves as Executive Vice President, Corporate Development and Strategic Planning of Global Payments Inc., one of the largest worldwide providers of payment technology and software services. He is responsible for strategic planning as well as for sourcing, evaluating and executing mergers and acquisitions, strategic investments, joint ventures and related transactions. Mr. Whipple has more than 20 years of experience in mergers and acquisitions, capital markets and advisory.

Since joining Global Payments in 2015, Mr. Whipple has executed numerous transactions totaling approximately $7 billion in enterprise value, and he has played a key role in driving the company’s strategic transformation to a technology-enabled and software-driven enterprise. Among other initiatives, he helped lead the acquisition and integration of Heartland Payment Systems, the largest transaction in Global Payments’ 50-year history.

Prior to joining Global Payments, Mr. Whipple spent more than a decade in investment banking at Bank of America Merrill Lynch and Bear Stearns. During his tenure, he assisted management teams, boards of directors and special committees on a wide range of advisory and financing assignments.

Mr. Whipple holds a B.B.A. in Finance from The College of William & Mary and earned his M.Sc. in Finance from London Business School. He resides in Atlanta, Georgia with his wife and two children.
